About the Author

René Antonio Mayorga is on the staff of the Centro Boliviano de Estudios Multidisciplinarios in La Paz. He was a visiting faculty fellow in the Helen Kellogg Institute of International Relations at the University of Notre Dame, and is currently a professor of political science in the Joint Master’s Program of the Harvard Institute for International Development and the Bolivian Catholic University in La Paz.
